A quick link rodeo. Some of these are old.
The Adventures of Dr. McNinja - a totally awesome/random webcomic.
Garth Marenghi's Darkplace - the best thing I saw on tv in the UK.
The worst picture ever - the brain refuses to comprehend this madness. I
gave myself motion sickness trying to make sense of it.
Currently watching: The Daily Show.

Album of the Year: Bloc party - "Silent Alarm"
Reason: I listened to a lot of music this year, but very little of it was
actually released in 2005. Keeping up on new releases is way too much work,
considering how much good music there is that I've never heard. Anyway, of the
new stuff I actually heard, this one was pretty good.
Runner Up: Opeth - "Ghost Reveries"
Reason: Because it was awesome. This album makes me throw goats with great
vengeance.
Honorable mention: Arcade Fire - "Funeral"
Reason: Because it's technically from last year, but I don't think I heard it
before the last few weeks of December. I haven't listened to it much since
Spring, because it was in my CD player when it was stolen.
Never appearing on this list - M.I.A. - "Arular"
Reason: Cause fuck you, that's why.
Currently watching: Some stupid show on Adult Swim, because I didn't bother
turn off the TV off after "Stroker & Hoop" failed to appear.

Happy New Year, everybody. I've just enjoyed an extremely satisfying long
weekend hanging out with all the riff-raff who happened to find themselves in
Columbus for the holidays. Adam M. and Kevin were of course afoot, both being
locals, and Sean and Host also did their part to fill my apartment with empty
cans and bottles. No sooner had I cleaned up their debris than Scott and Lori
stopped by on their long drive from South Carolina to Michigan. Good times
were had by all.
Scott has been one of the primary enablers for my video game habit for years,
and he continued the tradition by bringing along the excellent Shadow of the
Colossus. Everyone with access to a Playstation 2 seriously needs to at
least rent this game. It's a god's-honest revelation in gaming, on par with
paradigm changing work in any other medium. I'm not saying it's a Citizen
Kane, but it's easily a Star Wars or a Watchmen - familiar concepts
reconfigured into something totally new, executed with care, polish, and
innovation. 2005 Game of the Year, hands down.
I've never actually had any new year's resolutions before, so I was excited to
force them upon you all. But, this has gone on long enough, so you'll have to
tune in next week - same clint-time, same clint-channel.
Currently watching: Notre Dame v. OSU game, because they'll kick me out of
Columbus if I don't.

As promised, I have a new blog. No comments for now, unfortunately - the spam
was just out of control on the old page. Maybe I'll set up some sort of forum-
like mechanism by which you can all tell me how awesome and insightful I am.
Wouldn't that be grand?
Devoted readers may have noticed some extended down-time leading up to the
death of the old page. Within days of its triumphant relaunch, the moveable
type server that ran the show decided to shit a brick. This meant several
months of no updates, comments, or anything of the sort before Justin finally
put the thing out of its misery. ordinary.story apologizes for the whole
sorded affair.
One of the primary inspirations for this site's rebirth is the ongoing book-
list over at Kevin->Writes. I will probably steal his thunder any day now.
Only, not really at all, because Kevin is unreasonably good at spining mundane
blog-fodder into highly enjoyable tales of wit and whimsy. Would that we were
all so talented!
Currently listening to: "The True Wheel" by Brian Eno (thanks Sean!)
